Crafty Tuesday: A Few Finished Projects

OK here is what I have been doing for swaps this past month. It is very picture heavy.

The first are spool birds, which is named after the group that created the pattern not thread spools in any way.

This is the batch all sew up but not turned yet.
(For the Visually Impaired: This is a picture of the spool bird sewn up but still inside out and no stuffing. At the top on my computer (which is white) are the red ones which are made up of two different red pieces of cloth. Below that to the right are the green birds again made up of two different pieces of fabric and to the left are the blue ones. Below that you can see a pair of orange handled scissors and a wooden dowel rod that I use to turn the birds right side out.)

A flock of finished Spool Birds
(For the visually impaired: this is an overhead shot of all the birds. There are 12 in all. On the right from top to bottom are 3 green Bird, 3 Red Birds, and 3 Green Birds. On the left from top to bottom are 3 blue birds, 3 Red Birds, and 3 blue birds)

The Second Project that I have finished and sent out was a set of Artist Trading Card Dolls that I do with a lovely group of people. The dolls have to fold up to the size of an artist trading card. This challenge was to make a doll with crop circle patterns based on the doodling form called Zentangle.

(For the visually impaired: These are two small paper dolls with a Japanese theme. They are two ladies in Kimonos. They are black and white except the red lips of each. Their Kimonos are covering in patterns based on a doodling system called Zentangle which takes quite a while to do.)

The dolls in their ATC form all folded up
(For the visually impaired: The same dolls folded up to the size of a trading card (think baseball cards) There is a triangular pattern on the left one and a circular pattern on the right one)

So that’s the current projects that I have finished. Next is going to be a Griffin for Caroline based slightly on the Skylanders’ Griffon’s babies. I may make two and put one in the Art Show at Farpoint.

I am grateful for doodle time.
